That is the most important thing to consider when buying belts and pulleys, etc.My complaints are this: 1) WHY does the timing belt tensioner pulley spring not come in this kit!!?? It is a kit for a 22 year old car and the manuals say to replace the spring if it appears worn. Yes a thin piece of metal that has been stretched out constantly over the last 22 years looks worn, INCLUDE A REPLACEMENT PLEASE!! This set even included gaskets for the cam and crank pulleys that I didn't need to replace as I didn't remove the pulleys, yet the spring wasn't included. Unacceptable. 2) The O-Ring gasket that connects on the back of the water pump between the outlet from the block and the pump does not fit well into the existing hole. It is a functional gasket and seals well, but getting it to stay in the channel built for it during mounting was a challenge. A slightly thicker gasket would have made the... Read more |
