Plus the added benefit that this plastic is supposed to be manufactured with the UV stabilizer. This set includes the main high/low beam bulbs (so you just unplug the old bulb from the harness, and plug into the new), but not the running/blinker yellow bulb so you can just reuse what you have. Outstanding deal for the pair at $89.It is a bit involved to replace (takes time but no "special" skills per se). But this will pay for itself ... a total steal compared to what a local shop or dealer wants for this repair. Also great deal compared to resurfacing/repolishing every year ... resurfacing does not address the main defect in this model that the UV stabilizer was left out, and the hazing and cloudiness will come right back, even if you try to... I've seen the video install guide that someone posted on YouTube and while I think I could have pulled it off, I decided to pay my mechanic to do it (he charged me $117). After the installation was complete, the left turn signal indicator (in the car) was constantly lit when the headlights were turned on and the signal didn't work (with the headlights off everything worked fine). My mechanic said there is commonly a problem in after market headlights with feedback or shorts, so he looked into it and found that a bulb had been mashed into its socket such that it was causing two wires to contact each other. He was able to quickly figure this out and everything works fine now... At this site, they were around $150. They were OE and a fit perfect. I'm a very happy customer! |
